Essex Turbos refurbished the turbo for my 2.0 TDI CBB engine for £450-500. They were consistently very friendly over the phone and in person. One of the engineers visually inspected a turbo I had bought and had an issue with free of charge - a deconstruction and a written report is £150, but would not have helped me in this situation. I have had no problems with the refurbished turbo, but if I did, they have a good complaints process to which they would inspect how it broke and decide whether it was their fault or not. I very much trust their honesty if it came to this. They dealt extremely well with a phone call they received from the other turbo company I dealt with threatening to sue them.
