Frequently Asked Questions About Reconditioned Turbos
A properly rebuilt unit does the same job as a new one. Ours are fitted with new wear parts, balanced and tested, then held to the same standard as the new turbos we sell.
For most drivers, a rebuilt turbo is the better value choice, costing less than a new unit while still carrying a 1 or 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.
Prices depend on your make, model and engine, and every quote comes with no hidden costs. If you are working to a budget, our £150 to £200 turbos are a good place to start.
A rebuilt turbo fitted to a healthy engine can last as long as the original. Most turbo failures come down to oil problems, so clean oil and a good oil supply make the biggest difference.
Find out why the old turbo failed, as the same fault can damage the new one. Check the oil feed and return pipes, boost hoses and air filter, and change the oil and oil filter at the same time.
